Get Your Own Royal Baby Name

So the Duchess of Cambridge is (finally!) in labor, and it looks like we won’t get the royal baby’s name until she and Prince William head home with their new prince or princess. But never fear—there’s a whole slew of tools out there that can help you craft the perfect royal name for you or your baby.

USA Today has a tool that gives you your own little bit of pomp and circumstance—enter your initials and sex, and it’ll come back with a fancy little title for you. (Her Highness Magnolia The Mostly Victorious certainly has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Especially when paired with my husband’s title, The Sultan Leopold de la Noche.)

If you still want to get your bets in with the British bookies, check out the Washington Post’s baby name generator, which gives you possible name combos for the royal baby, based on your preferences—boy or girl, tried-and-true classics or long-shot names. (My best bet currently: We’re welcoming Charlotte Elizabeth Diana Victoria. Though as a history buff who loves Eleanor of Aquitaine, I’m always hopeful they’ll do something unexpected like that.)

Want more royal baby name coverage? You can look back at my royal baby name prognostications, see if a leaked baby name is potentially the winner, find out what the current frontrunners are, get a name fit for a princess (and your daughter, of course), and of course, like In Name Only on Facebook to keep up with the latest on the royal baby and more!
